LSU baseball fans over the age of 21 will be able to purchase beer and wine at two locations at Alex Box Stadium, the university announced Monday.

The two new tented areas, named "The Yard," will be located in the left and right outfield corners. Both locations will open two hours before first pitch and will sell alcohol until the end of the seventh inning of games.

The Yard will operate similarly to "The Chute" at Tiger Stadium. A $20 wristband gains entrance into either location and includes two drinks.

Per Southeastern Conference rules, fans cannot bring their drinks outside of the tented area.

Additional beverages can be purchased inside the premium area starting at $6.

LSU opens with three home games in three straight days vs three different opponents? Odd.

Last year I walked into a game with a bourbon and coke in a solo cup in my hand and no one questioned me.

Very much hope Ole Miss will follow suit at Swayze, though I guess they technically couldn't sell beer in the parts of the stadium actually on campus, but I'm sure it'd go over swimmingly in the outfield

frick Sankey and his moronic anti-alcohol stance, especially when the availability of in-game booze likely would help curb binge drinking before and after games. You could chug a pint of liquor before going into the stadium or arena, or you could wait 20 minutes in line for a watered down, questionably cold stadium beer. Which is one leads to more drunken misbehavior?

This should help LSU fans build some confidence about their team. Something they're usually lacking at the Box.**

If it isn't box wine, this is a marketing failure.
