Scandanavian =/= German. There are German families here, along with Hungarians and Czech
I know, upper Midwest (Minnestoa, Wisconsin, UP) is different from the lower states in demographics, weather too. Winter is harsher there.

Remember that time King Harold kicked them out
And then Harold went on to get beat by William the Conqueror and his army of Normans, which included some of my ancestors
quote:
on the same day Harald Hardrada of Norway, who also claimed the English crown joined Tostig and invaded, landing his fleet at the mouth of the Tyne.
The invading forces of Hardrada and Tostig defeated the English earls Edwin of Mercia and Morcar of Northumbria at the Battle of Fulford near York on 20 September 1066. Harold led his army north on a forced march from London, reached Yorkshire in four days, and caught Hardrada by surprise. On 25 September, in the Battle of Stamford Bridge, Harold defeated Hardrada and Tostig, who were both killed.
And then Harold went on to get beat by William the Conqueror and his army of Normans, which included some of my ancestors

For a period yes, the Viking raids weren't a one time thing. Just throwin out an example of them defeating the raiders.
Alfred the Great lost a lot of battles to the Vikings unfortunately, he did beat them at Edington though

I mean, the brits definitely have a covenant with the israelites, this is a well known thing, but if you believe that any of the British people's are descended from an actual tribe of Israel you're retarded.

No, no it doesn't. It's a tribal name for the celtic speaking peoples in Cornwall and Wales, the Britons. The original inhabitants of the isles before the Romans and Anglos came.
