It was Satan working through her. He works in people's lives relentlessly in order to divide God's people. I would go on but I think there is probably a lot of denial when dealing with an uncomfortable truth.

Before one laughs at the idea of Islam being a false religion, maybe they should learn a little about the god (Allah) that Islam worships. The god Allah predates Islam by thousands of years and Allah was one of the "major" or top gods at Mecca long before Muhammad was born.

The origins of Allah (the moon god) date back to when Nimrod declared himself the Baal the sun god and declared his mother/wife (Semiramis) the mood goddess. Did you ever stop to ask why the crescent moon is central to Islam?

After the Tower of Babel the name for Nimrod and his mother/wife spread to all regions for the world under the new names in their new languages.

Names of Semiramis/Ashtarte (moon goddess and mother of god)
Cybele (goddess mother) Asia
Ishtar/Allah Babylon and Islam
Isis (queen of heaven) Egypt
Isi (goddess mother) India
Venus/Fortuna Rome
Ashterath Phoenicia
Irene (goddess of peace) Greece
Rhea (mother of gods)
Diana Ephesian
Shing Moo (holy mother of China

Names of Nimrod/Baal (the sun god)
Deoius Asia
Jupiter/Cupis Rome
Osiris/Horus Egypt
Iswara India
Tammuz Phoenicia
Eros/Plutus Greece
Bacchus/The Centaur Greece
The Winged One Babylon
Orion

If you think about it, more than half of the world worships Baal/Nimrod/Satan in one form or another. Islam worships the mother/wife of Baal (the moon goddess). No it is not a laughing matter.

It kind of is, though. Or at least should be.

God bless you, this made my night. I haven't laughed this hard in ages.

However, because I'm a nice guy and its the Christian thing to do, allow me to assure you... the Muslims worship a masculine god. Since I've read the Koran I can also tell you... its basically the Bible with a few changes thrown in. Nothing major though.

Hehe... the wife of Baal and Nimrod and the Great Joe Bob. Hehe. Oh thank you for this post.

I don’t know all about that but I do have an amateur’s understanding of Islam and from a cursory look at it it’s like a 1400 year old Bahai faith or an Arab Mormonism. Muhammad goes in to some caves, comes back out and says God gave him a special message and he’s the last and greatest messenger. All the old great religious people of the area were declared prophets of his revealed god and message. He then uses that as a cudgel to unite many Arab tribes and pacify the others. It’s a political movement mascarading as a syncretic religion.

Islam is basically Christianity but they don't think JC was son of God. Saying its false is as so much fart gas.

And your aunt is basically your uncle except for a minor difference.... since JC being the son of God is the main theme of the Bible and the Christian faith it’s kind of a big deal. Islam, buddism, etc are works based religions, man working himself toward God. Biblical Christianity is God extending grace to mankind is faith based, we can’t earn it.

Well you have a point there. I mean there is absolutely no other religion where a deity ran around knocking up young women. Certainly only Christianity can lay claim to that and its not at all like virtually every religion out there has featured the human offspring of deities.

Buddhism, as an aside, does not have gods or God. You might be thinking of Hinduism which has a butt load of gods. Buddhist do not, as a rule of thumb, try to become closer to God or gods.

The Old and New Testament are filled with references of people earning their way through the Pearly Gates, not having it handed to them on a silver platter. Unless you are making the pre-determination argument that we are either saved by Jesus before we are born or doomed to burn in hell. Which seems very cynical.

Also most (if not all) of the sources in the Bible claiming JC was the son of God were written well after both Jesus and anyone who actually knew him were gone. And they were written in the Roman Empire where it was commonplace for Emperors and other important people to declare themselves... the sons of gods.

I know, it deeply offends people that Islam is basically Christianity and Judaism with a new paint job. We are special because our religion is special loses a little pop off its fastball when you acknowledge a good chunk of the world shares some form of our religion.

Are we wallowing in a Chick Tract when we declare that a vile pedophile who accepted Jesus on his death bed is going to Heaven while a charitable and good willed Muslim or Atheist is doomed to Hell?

Because, if that is true, then send me to Hell. I'm an Arkansas sports fan. Hell holds no particular terrors for me. After 6 years of John L. Smith and Bert having flaming pine cones shoved up my rectum sounds kind of relaxing. Flay the skin from my bones, it can't be worse then missing a routine pop up fly ball for the NCAA championship.

You claim to know and understand the Koran and know of the teachings of Muhammad. But do you really?

Can a prophet lie? If he lies is he in fact a prophet?

Who does Mohammad claim that Jesus is? The answer, a good man and a prophet.

Who does Jesus claim that he is? The Son of God!

So either Mohammad is a liar or Jesus is a liar. Well that is not altogether true either.

If Jesus is a liar then so is Mohammad. Jesus could not be the good man and the prophet Mohammad claimed him to be if Jesus is a liar. Therefore Mohammad lied.

If Jesus told the truth, that he is the Son of God...then Mohammad is a liar in that case also. Mohammad said that Jesus was not the Son of God.

The only possibilities are that both are liars or the Mohammad is a liar and Jesus is the Son of God.

Either way, by Mohammad's own words, Mohammad is a liar.

Since Mohammad proved himself to be a liar by his own words, his claim to be a prophet is invalid and the entire religion based on the words of a proven liar is a false religion.

Did Sarah totally ruin the world when she cast out Ishmael?

Following this thread, the Sin introduced into our world by Adam and Eve is what "totally ruined" it...As for Sarah, her misstep was when she didn't trust God and convinced Abraham to have a child with Hagar in the first place.

quote:

Is a large portion of conflict in the world over the last 1,000+ years due to Sarah's inability to accept the child her husband had with another woman at Sarah's request?

No...a large portion of conflict in the world over the last 1,000 years was due to Sarah trying to figure out how to make things happen (have children), rather than having faith in what she was told.

Actually, Abraham did not have a child with Hagar...Abram did. About 12 years later God changed his name from Abram to Abraham and about a year after that Abraham had a child with Sarah.

Ishmael was born to Abram and Hagar at the urging of Sarai.

13 years later

Issac was born to Abraham and Sarah.

Definitely not a Bible scholar. We start with Adam and Eve, who had kids. To have more kids there has to be incest, right off the bat. And the incest continues from there. I never understood this.

The other possiblity is that neither one is wrong or a liar and Jesus never claimed to be "God."

Adam and Eve were the first. Not the only.
Remember Cain went to another village and took a wife.
