Let’s look at the facts.......

Of games played by top 4 BIG12 teams:
#1 Oklahoma loses to bama but plays them closer than any SEC team has this year (save Georgia)
#2 Texas absolutely PUNKS Georgia dominating from start to finish against the clear 2nd best team in Sec all year
#3 West Virginia loses to Syracuse but ONLY because they are missing their key piece quarterback who was arguably the most important single player to any bowl team this season, would’ve easily won with will grier
#4 Iowa State barely loses to a 13 ranked Washington state team in a game that is widely considered referree assisted for Wazzu.

Additionally, middle of the pack/slightly bad big 12 teams beat middle of the pack sec teams convincingly. Baylor-Vandy was a push of two lowly ranked conference teams, but when it was all said and done Baylor hung 700 yards on them. Oklahoma state literally went THREE AND SIX in big 12 conference play but controlled the whole game against an 8 win SEC team. Is it about time we realize that 1) sec scheduling is clearly weaker and inflates bad teams records with the one less conference game and 2) the big 12 may not have as many good teams as sec (it’s also not fair to compare 10 teams vs 14, but I digress) but the league has a more modern scheme which is at the moment is more effective football than what the sec plays. Add in the chasm sized quarterback play disparity between the two leagues (ehlinger was the 3rd or 4th best big 12 qb this year, while if he were in the sec we’d be arguing he’s possibly the best) and the big 12 just got it done more so this year and was the better conference. I’m an sec fan but it’s just really hard to argue with results. I think going into next year big 12 is the conference to bear, and is the one conference that could potentially have 2 playoff teams, if both Texas and Oklahoma truly play to the peak of their powers next year.

Bama put the brakes on. Everyone watching knew that and chose not to rub it in by kneeling the last drive.

Wait a minute, I actually took time to read your dribble.

Of the top 4 teams you listed, 3 lost in their bowl games.

Back to the drawing board.

Don't put a lot of stock in that Texas win over Georgia. The Sugar Bowl should withhold Georgia's cut of the payoff for being a no-show.

Something that is happening in post-season play now is how irrelevant the bowl games are becoming. If they go to an 8 team playoff the large bowls are history, imo. To keep the bowls relevant, for the time being, bowls should match-up teams without regard for bowl tie-ins. Have the other New Years bowls have some kind of rotating pecking order. This might keep some interest in the non-playoff bowls.

So your conference's best went 1-3 and you think that's good?

No. Josh Jacobs said Big 12 top actually made a good bottom.

Watch #13 be sure to get the frick out of the way and #11 check to make sure #20 isn't dead.

What top SEC teams lost their bowl games? UGA? Meanwhile LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, and Auburn all won.

All the Big 12 teams you listed lost their bowl games except Texas.

In April the Big 12 will maybe have 20 players drafted. While the SEC will have around 60 players drafted.

The good players don't play in that barren wasteland. The big 12 will not even be around in 6 or 7 years.

Only about 3 or 4 of those programs will even be in a major conference going forward.

So, the #1 team from the BDF did worse than the #2 team in the SEC, and your conclusion is that the BDF is better than the SEC at the top?

Solid logic.

the big 12 is by far the worst p5 conference.
you know it and everyone else knows it.
it's sad that you are posting here trying to make it not so.
just accept it.
