I mean, he's won big if you count escaping Oklahoma last year but outside of that he's done very little.

Destroyed by Auburn and had to get revenge, which was fortunate for him.

Destroyed by LSU and was fortunate that he plays in the East where Georgia is okay.

He's 4 - 5 in the West despite having an average top 5 talent composite. His only saving grace is that his schedule so far has been pretty weak. He's been exposed several times by teams who, with less talent, manage to be far more physical than his teams.

He hasn’t won big yet and might not ever, but his recruiting gives him a chance to. I’ll take that chance vs. the alternative every time.

The reason other teams have less talent is that Kirby is a recruiting boss. He won the SEC and played for the title, then played Bama tight this year. What is your standard for a good coach?
