We’ll be fine.

You could make the argument that we upgrade every position on defense, with the exception of Gary Johnson and Omenihu.
quote:Depends on how teams play Texas. Texas does not have an explosive offense, rather relies on the quick game and getting the ball out of Ehlinger's hands. You will see LSU in a lot of press coverage as Texas' offense lives off slants & screens. They will also spy Ehlinger to avoid giving up yards after a busted play, but they will need to bring him down in numbers, as he is quite the load.
They’ll be green, but I think our offense can carry us through the first half of the season while the kids on D get up to speed.

It’s not like LSU is going to give them any crazy offensive looks like they’ll see in Big12 play.
We'll be returning our QB, entire OL and entire receiving core that had 400 yards receiving/550 total against the 12th ranked passing defense in UCF. You'll also be getting a 1-2 punch from Clyde Edwards-Helaire and John Emery, which will be an improved backfield from this year. Texas' young safeties showed promise, but your corners are very green, and without a pass rush, could have a very hard time.
DKR will be rocking, no doubt, but LSU has played in "tough" environments. I've been to many big games in DKR, and while loud, it doesn't compare to the likes of Auburn, Florida, etc.
Here's to hoping both teams are at full strength come kickoff

The Texas offense has a ton of potential. They grinded out drives this season because Ehlinger was inconsistent with the deep ball over the middle of the field. I think you’ll see him develop more as a passer in the off-season in his 3rd year in the offense. You should attend a game in DKR next season, Del Conte really has changed the gameday culture in and out of the stadium. The atmosphere will be electric.
