B/T/W - The process was identical for the games at AT&T in Dallas only with the PAC12. Bama did the exact same thing under identical terms. Now Byrne was a little smarter about it: there were two Pac12 teams that had an open date for 2021 and one was Southern Cal. We just did AT&T with those guys so it was pretty much a lock that USC would take the game and rematch. We were more careful that we didn't get stuck with a Duke type game again.

So are you backing off yall ended up with duke because of "fear"? That is my only point in all of this

Unfortunate scheduling and timing is how you ended up with duke. Its an anomaly for bama in their OOC scenario

I am saying no one in the ACC stepped up to take the game. We have Miami next year. Clemson doesn't want to open with us because its more than likely we see them in the playoffs. I have no idea why any other school wouldn't take that payday because he rest of the conference are basically basketball schools so who cares if you get beat. No one was interested other than Duke.

It sucks but that is how this came about. Battle was the dumbass who took the money grab but got the fans a shitty game.
