There is nothing from last year that suggests he'll be a top three draft prospect, let alone first round. He would need an outstanding year because there is no person on Earth saying Franks is an elite QB. Not to mention:

Tua
Shea
Herbert
Fromm
Eason
Patterson are all available for the draft, all markedly better Quarterbacks than Franks.

I'd be absolutely floored if he were drafted before any of them.

I think were fine for this year and POSSIBLY 2020, but my feeling is that one of the Jones’ transfers.

We really need a QB in 2020 or 2021.

Tua will be drafted before Feleipe. Herbert may be drafted before Feleipe. Feleipe will be drafted before Shea, Fromm, and Eason. I have zero doubt about it.

I’m not saying he’s better than those guys. Franks is what NFL scouts are looking for. Short guys that aren’t Uber athletic like Shea and Fromm are not. Eason doesn’t have near the production Feleipe does.

If that’s all the quarterbacks in next years draft class, I think Franks will be the 3rd QB off the board
