Sounds like butt hurt to me. Dr. Andrews is the best orthopedic surgeon around. I trust his opinion and diagnosis, not some idiotic DJ interviewing a quack on the radio. Just ask the hundreds and hundreds of athletes that go to him a year for diagnosis.

Nah. Here is what common sense tells us went down. Tua gets HAS. Doctors and CNS consult with player and family.

Doctors: "Options are, we can put you in a walking boot and allow this thing to heal the normal way. You will be rehabbed and ready to go 100% for spring practice. Option two is, we can do something that is new and somewhat unproven. We reattach things with a flexible wire, stimulate bone growth, etc. We feel like you can be up an going in a couple of weeks and able to compete at a high level, maybe close to 100% by the playoffs. From there, regular rest and healing will get you 100%. We may, possibly, have to re-break the injury and put you through the normal healing process - we're not positive. Anyway, you will be close to 100% for spring practice. Now, there is a chance that this procedure could cause you to be re-injured, perhaps even worse, and then we'd have to put you back together again and it might be on into spring practice before you're really able to do very much. Just think about it."

Tua and family: "We've prayed about it and we want to compete in the playoffs. Let's get the procedure don't ASAP."

Doctors: "We will have a room and a staff for surgery tonight."

Doctor in Jacksonville: "This is a somewhat risky procedure that could cause Tua to be injured even worse."

Us: "OMG, sue the bastard."
