You're stupid if you think Fields was given the entire playbook or was given the ability to audible or call his own plays. The overwhelming majority of those plays were designed read option runs, with either the RB or the QB. The only time they weren't was when he dropped backed to throw, which was extremely rare in any game other than a cupcake.

The wildcat mark is just a figure of speech.

Well that is absolutely asinine.

Dan Wolken just trying to rile up the clicks from all the fan bases clamoring for Fields. Will get a lot more buzz if he can make up some reason for Fields to be able to play in 2019.

Dash didn’t exactly shoot that down either. It’s really the only case the family would have. It’s not necessarily a strong one but it’s the only card they could potentially play.

FYI UGA insiders have heard that same exact reason could be used to get immediate eligibility.

Report out now he’s considering:

OSU
FSU
OU
Or staying at UGA.

Dumb to transfer to any of those outside of OU. really the only one that makes sense.

I’ll bet you anything Fields was given the COMPLETE playbook. If FIELDS knew the playbook, the calls wouldn’t have been limited. If Fields had the trust of the coaching staff....through the reps he was given at practice and scrimmages, I’m sure he would’ve been been allowed to make audibles. However, I don’t think any freshman QB gets to call his own plays. This isn’t Madden. The coaches that study progress make the calls based on a) looks the opposition give b) play success c) player comprehension. Get off the Fields wasn’t GIVEN chances. He had the same chances every other kid had. Fields didn’t WIN the competition. It’s his choice now...quit and run or rise up and fight to win the job. Same as every other position on the field.

It would’ve been easy to bench Fromm last year after Eason came back. Fromm TOOK/ WON the job. See it’s that simple.

I wonder whether Fields told Haselwood that he was going to transfer and Haselwood leaked it. I don't think Fields was the leaker.

It's all on Kirby. He mismanaged the QB position as badly as he mismanaged the ending of the SECCG.

I think that Fields will end up being a better QB than Fromm could ever be.

Fields has enormous potential. Not getting into the argument about his usage or comparisons to Fromm. Fromm is our guy and he has been an absolute assassin, plays his tail off, and represents UGA the right way. Fields knew the situation when he committed and stressed that he was here to grow as a player, compete, and embrace adversity.

He is too good of a talent to let walk out the door, but if he wants to take the easy road and transfer then I don't want him. If it's one thing Kirby has our team doing it's playing with their hair on fire and competing harder than I've ever seen. If the situation were reversed I believe Fromm would simply grind even harder and meet the challenge head on.

That's the guy I want as a fan and that's the guy I would want as a player.

A figure of speech that makes you look stupid.

Those Zone Read plays are THE DAMM BREAD AND BUTTER OF OUR OFFENSE but he "runs that Wildcat play all the time". You have no idea what shite your fingers are spewing. You should do us a favor and smash them all with a hammer.

Oddly enough, I noted a lot of the black ex players on our private page thought he was being sandbagged. I just didn’t see it, but it was interesting to see them jump to that assumption pretty quickly. That rumbling went away later in the season for what it’s worth.
I personally think he has a lot of potential, but was not as good as Fromm. I’d hate to see him go. I think he has a big upside and will get better. One day, he may be a better overall player than Fromm. It all just depends on how he learns to process the speed of the game and make the reads. It’s not easy. I think his biggest issue is that he is such a good athlete, that he was able to get away with tucking and running. If I coached him in high school. I would have told him to do just that. I understand he is a really smart kid. Hope he makes the best decision for himself and not everyone in his ear. It must be a tough spot for him.

Wolken just staked his credibility on a 19yo kid. We see how well that's working out for him. Making the family backtrack and comment on something they don't want to talk about publicly is going to haunt that dude for a long time, whether Fields eventually transfers or not. Way to go, dumbass

If we lose Fields, so be it. He didn't show me anything to get too excited about this season. The other 5* from his class, Lawrence, was an absolute stud for Clemson from day 1. Fields is nothing more than raw potential with good legs...he's the high-ceiling/low floor prospect teams like to take flyers on. If he thinks he can excel elsewhere, go for it, kid. Anyone else find it funny there were no SEC teams on his list? Wonder why that is

If he leaves, I'm more concerned with depth next season than I am losing Fields as a future starter. We're fortunate to have a stacked O-line that should help keep Jake healthy throughout the year but, if something goes wrong, we're going to have a big ole hole at QB unless Kirby pulls a decent QB out of his arse this close to NSD.

I thought Fields was being sandbagged and I'm whiter than snow. I've never seen any coach manage the QB position the way Kirby did and I'll be 70 next month. The whole thing was as retarded as that fake punt attempt. Kirby must be as dumb as his haircut.

Fromm has shut down 2 5* players and had finished top 3 in the country 2 years in a row for passing efficiency.....did you even watch the SECCG?

Fields shite the bed and showed nothing outside 1 garbage time playing experience.....

You have absolutely nothing to base your BS on.

Take your sidewalk POS fan arse to another team

TFOH man. When Fields is in and his first read is covered, the dude absolutely panics. Happy feet, quick tuck, indecisive....he's a fricking disaster against any D worth a damn.

Could he get better? Sure. But he's got a lllooonnnggg way to go.

Any rational person can see that, but for some reason it always seems to be a driving headline.

Fields is great but he seems to target one player and then runs if said receiver is covered.

Fromm did the same thing for eight games last season. He finally figured it out but only because he started every game after the opener.
Fields didn't look like he was going to figure it out.
