You got it right, unfortunately, but I do hope this downturn does not extend to all football playing schools. Before TV dollars, it was more lucrative to be a head coach at McNeese State than it was to be a coordinator at an SEC program. My, how times have changed.

Still, I do hope that kids will still have the opportunity to play the game on scholarship, which will depend upon attendance at these lower programs and ultimately interest from the study body. It does seem like attendance is flagging at these fodder schools, though. Some play two loss games a year. Ultimately, most college football players are not within the 65 that matter.
