I am guessing you wont be so civil when you get bounced by Bama again.

Well I was on here last year when Bama beat us, so I guess you can always check my history.

If we face Bama this year, I could see us losing by three touchdowns. Our safety play has been a weakness all year, but it often gets masked by our DL. Our CBs are pretty elite, but safety play is average with below average coverage skills from our LBs.

Last year USC had basically the same team and our D was mostly the same group overall. We beat them 34-10 with most of their points coming in garbage time. Our D had its worst game of the year this year. Some of that had to do with a good game plan by USC.

I am glad to see Gamecock fans are happy with their overall performance. Keep riding that moral victory train and you might get close in a couple years.

I can't ever remember a year when USC had their historic 5 peat that I thought... "Wow we were throttled, but at least our offense (or defense) played great!"

at the end of the day... I'm so happy I'm not a Clemson alum.

And went to a much more prestigious university.

USCe's five in a row over Clemson was their crown jewel. Clemson answered it with a five in a row of their own (plus 3 possibly 4 trips to the CFP). Since most of them become Bama fans in December, it will be ok.

Yes, but Clemson's O jumped from #6 to #3.

The difference is Dabo didn’t have to quit in the middle of the season for us to pull that off.

Good for them for winning 5 in a row over a team that has gone through a complete rebuild.

What happened the years you were independent? Was that schedule tough as well?

That usually happens when your entire defense is out with injuries.

Trust me when I say we’ve made our issues on defense abundantly clear. If we had anything that looked like a defense last Saturday, that’s a different game.

You’re getting more orange on your lip btw

Cheatin Charley Pell, Dirty Danny ...1977-1989. record-breaking NCAA rules violations that led to unprecedented success at Pickens Tech after posting a record of 73-90-4 in the 18 years prior up at Cowtown. that's pretty much what happened in the series during our Independent years 1971-1991.

while Pickens Tech was playing its sorry little sisters of the ACC in football and NO out of conference games to note other than Carolina & Georgia, the Gamecocks were playing home/home with Notre Dame, Dan Marino's Pittsburgh U, Nebraska, Florida State, UMiami, Michigan, Southern California. that's along with regularly scheduled games vs SEC schools such as LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee and of course Georgia - with a few ACC cupcakes for desert.
