Looking at the stats, all are pretty dead even:

First Downs:
LSU 31
A&M 33

Total Yards:
LSU 496
A&M 521

Passing Yards:
LSU 281
A&M 287

Rushing Yards:
LSU 215
A&M 234

Turnovers:
LSU 1
A&M 1

Time of Possession:
LSU 28:30
A&M 31:30

EXCEPT Penalties

LSU - 10 for 70 yards
A&M - 3 for 24 yards

I am not saying that the refs swallowed whistles or anything, but apparently, A&M played near mistake-free football.

Before the OT, A&M had only one 5-yard penalty during regulation. In OT they got a 15-yard PI and a false start on the last play.

During OT, LSU had 5 penalties:
Personal foul - 8 yards
False start - 5 yards
Delay of game - 5 yards
Pass Interference - 1 yard
Unsportsmanlike Mouthing off the Ref (GREEDY!!!) - 1 yard

Easy and obvious call (and the refs missed targeting on Mond at the end of regulation so I'm not sure you want to go down that road). I've been big in decrying silly targeting penalties even on our opponents, but that was textbook.

Procedural. 100% on LSU. And our false start would have been far more costly, so there goes the false start conspiracy theory.

100% objective call. Completely LSU's fault.

I mean, these were the same play, and even if we grant the PI was questionable, the jawing afterwards was not. And the whole thing was negated by TAMU's false start on the very next play.

So.....wtf are you bellyaching about?
