No, South Florida, a BIG EAST SCHOOL in 2007, was NOT FCS or anywhere close to it.

The Big East in 2007 was actually a decent football conference with 4 schools having at least 9 wins (West Virginia, Cincinnati, Connecticut, South Florida) and another with 8 wins (Rutgers with Ray Rice). Compare that to the PAC 10, who only had 4 teams finish the regular season above .500.

Yes, I accidentally said FCS. Too many acronyms. I corrected it. The point remains, SF is at the same level in all categories as Southern Miss. There's no difference between them in either subdivision, bowl eligibility, or being outside the P5 conferences.
