I think the split in the fans is due to the argument of supply/demand ( if a better product was supplied than the demand to see them would increase) versus the " fans should go support and cheer for the team no matter what". I've been seeing some fans, that are in the latter crowd, start to not want to be there and some of their argument is built around Franks yelling and attitude toward the players. They are tired of losing and hearing Frank constantly yell and deride the players.

People ain’t showing up unless we are winning.
It’s been like that since Spurrier.
We have been to 2 NCAATs since 05.
This isn’t some small big east private school where basketball is life, or somewhere like Kentucky or Indiana or ill even say a school like NC State .
Our fan base doesn’t have the same “light up” for basketball like we do football.
And it’s vice versa for them.
We just played the #4 team in the nation, but it was the same day as signing day.
We cared more about that. NC State in the same sense played Auburn ( a top 10 team)
I would say their message boards were buzzing more going into that game than signing day.
That’s just how it’s been here and will now always be since where we are and what we do.
Frank knew what he got himself into, so he needs to quiet. He took a job at a football school. Only way you get our attention is winning. I’m counting this season as a L. So that will be one tourney trip in his time here so far. Not good
