Both times lsu was out of contention of winning the west. Last time, in 2015 that they were bounced out of contention for the west by bama, lsu came out very flat.

This is what im curious to see. I do not discredit that O is now the coach. I also do not overlook the fact that a top 5 teams season is now essentially over.
