Yea we need to keep it because the team that prays the most always wins. (Rolls eyes). This holier than thou attitude, and the mix of church and college football has always made me dislike auburn a little bit more.

1. How does praying portray an attitude of "Holier than thou"?

2. Pretty sure the prayer isn't to win the game

3. Do you think Auburn is even close to the only team that does this?

Or it could lead them to have patience with others and lead them to do good works through the Spirit.

I've played on a lot of teams that have prayed before games and have never once heard anybody pray for a victory. Methinks you either have never played or are another kneejerk reactor.

I have heard in almost every prayer that they pray for a clean injury free game, so yeah....holier than thou.

AU is perfectly within it's rights. The chaplain is hired by a 3rd party. The football program is self-sufficient and doesn't rely on state tax money. Jeremiah Castille might be able to help you understand that you should look at the plank in your own eye.

Ummmm you are the team that brought the Navy seal survivor dude in before our game with Bama in 2014. Half of the research State does directly benefits the military. It left a bad taste in a lot of State people’s mouth to basically bring in a national hero and have him openly motivating your team to destroy us.
No team has the right to use religion as an intimidating factor against another team. Hugh Freeze tried that shite. Same goes for people who have served and supposedly represent all of us.
