I don't think its humanly possible to live in Alabama. Do they have a quality educational system? Do people really visit that state? Do they all married 2nd and 3rd line blood relatives?

Does anybody watch First 48 Hours? Birmingham, Tuscaloosa...I must admit that Alabama is an interesting state.

So guys while you rightfully so brag on the Mighty Tides, which deservingly so, I can't imagine a life more brutal than living in Alabama.

Weak troll.

Huntsville and over the mountain in Birmingham are solid places to live.

Both are far better places to raise a family than San Francisco.

Obviously you've never been to Alabama. I've only lived in Nevada, Illinois, Alabama and Florida, so I'm not the best authority on the subject. I'll take Alabama over the others for damned sure though.

The states where Americans have the best quality of life, ranked

The US is an enormous country and quality of life varies from state to state.

Thanks to data published by U.S. News & World Report on Tuesday, we can decisively say which state's residents enjoy the highest quality of life in America.

The rankings, formed in partnership with McKinsey and Co., considered two metrics for each state: its natural environment, comprising drinking-water quality, air quality, and pollution and industrial toxins; and its social environment, comprising community engagement, social support, and voter participation.

Despite its small population, North Dakota topped the list, with two other Midwestern states, Minnesota and Wisconsin, finishing second and third.

Birmingham is actually a really nice place and some of the suburbs I would move back to in a heartbeat if I could. People that shite on it have obviously never spent any time there in the last 10 years.
