re: Bama fans, how do you explain/justify the discrepancies in officiating/punishments?

This is not that difficult to understand. When you're as good as Bama is and have the history they have, you get the benefit of the doubt. No different than a great MLB pitcher getting calls 3 inches off the plate. When you have a reputation for being the best, you get calls, just the way it is. Time for everyone to stop crying about this and just beat them. Don't let the game come down to one player or one play - play your game and handle your business and don't worry about them.
