Agreed. This is a big game for both programs (for different reasons entirely) and what I feel like is really the start to our season in terms of becoming bowl eligible.

I hoped that we would be 3-4 at this point with how tough our schedule was on the front end. I thought we would have beaten UF and lost to AU though.

This is a game South Carolina deserves to be the favorite in imo, but I'm not very impressed with the job Muschamp has done in year 3 of their rebuild. They should be favored with the bye week and it being a night game, but this is a winnable game for the VOLS imo. Tough, but winnable.

Quote from a poster on VQ who lives in South Carolina and has been reliable in bringing good info regarding USC the last few years to the board. Heres what he had to say:

quote:

Carolina has struggled this year. The State newspaper from Columbia selected the place kicker as the offensive MVP for the first half of the season. They are last in the SEC in turnover margin. Bentley was booed in their game against A&M. It might have been aimed at the wide receivers who dropped numerous balls. It is bewildering since they led the SEC last year in TO margin and have most everyone back. They have gone to an up tempo offense under new OC McClendon. It has clearly not been the answer. But they do have excellent receivers in Samuels and Edwards.

On defense, they lack a significant pass rush. They play hard and aggressively but don't have any all SEC types.
