Considering Bama beat out Self/Kansas for Sexton, something to watch

Wouldn't surprise me. We have the most profitable athletics program in NCAA history, and it's not like we're landing multiple 5-stars every class. We can afford to blow our allowance on one program-changing recruit.

Yea, if they went after every big time recruit that Kansas lost, it would get messy for Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina and many more. It would be endless

Likely? That sounds a bit presumptuous. Hell, Mike DuBose didn’t even pay every player or recruit. Doubt Self is paying everybody too.

I also doubt that Self would pay a recruit when it was obvious to everyone that Sexton already had his mind made up when he took the visit. A payment could have happened but it seems highly unlikely at this point.

Now Ferguson on the other hand... that seems much more likely to me.

Can't imagine coaches giving $50k+ before they had the recruit locked down
