I'm a neutral observer here and actually kind of like both programs in general.
I didn't see the game but there is one clip on this article that does look like a poorly intentioned play. It may not be but it looks that way.

I had to watch a few times to figure out what the problem was. Apparently shoulder to the gut is now a chop block. Basic physics should have made it obvious that wasn't a chop block the second you saw how the ND player moved.
Also, "kind of like both" isn't neutral, it's just off-setting.
