Woman: “Who’s 26 carrying the ball?”

Man: “One of those monkeys.”

Woman: “Oh my god, you got him again on the next one.”

Later, the video freezes on a player wearing No. 14. The woman asks the man if the player — whom she calls “K.C.” — is a safety.

“They call him the monkey safety,” the man replies.

Texas A&M's No. 14 is safety Keldric Carper, who is black.

The Dallas Morning News first reported the story Friday.

its not that big a story.

his claims were treated dismissively by most of the talking heads when they came out.

they aren't going to pile on this kid.

even if he acted like an idiot he's still just a young college kid.

No, but they need to pile on Thomas Mars before he tries to screw over another school this way.

For what? Being a lawyer doing lawyer things? Let it go. This isn't something worth getting worked up over. It got shut down in less than a week. The kid just got himself dumped by the coach he wanted to play for and learned a hard lesson. Life goes on.

Marchiol was the SEVENTH attempt by Mars to get a player immediately eligible. He succeeded with the first six.

What's your point? He's just doing his job as a lawyer. Be mad at the NCAA for creating the opportunity to exploit their arse backwards rules if you want to raise your blood pressure.

The rules don’t tell players to lie and make up ncaa violations. That’s not the intent of the rule, it’s intended to be a whistleblower rule of sorts.

What is YOUR point? We're discussing a part of the news story. If you don't understand why then stfu.

It's pretty interesting how Mars got into this little specialization.

That this isn't a big story which is why it's getting little coverage. The fact that this lawyer has helped gets get waivers before really has nothing to do with anything.

Guess what, genius? We're not a news outlet and nobody cares what you consider to be big or relevant. This is a (mostly sports) message board and we post about whatever the frick we feel like. Nobody needs the East Texas Knowitall telling us what we can and can't be interested in talking about.

And it is interesting how the trial lawyer got into this nitch. by way of Houston Nutt. I mean, it's mildly interesting to people who are actually interested in college football.

Can you delete that link just to be safe? I’d appreciate it. I’m new posting on here and still learning and making a ton of mistakes. Thought the Ag forum was safe. Anyway thx again
