I thought that NOTHING would come of this and Urbs would not get any punishment. I was very wrong.
I know that the NCAA is allowed access to coach's phones, even personal cellphones (a Federal court ruled on this, see Butch Davis).
He asked about deleting texts older than a year, and then upon examination, his phone did in fact not have any messages older than a year, seems very shady.
It makes me wonder how long is a coach, especially a HC, required to keep messages for NCAA compliance?
I think that will be the story by the end of the day.

NCAA compliance is the least of CUM's issues in that case. He's considered a state government employee and FOIA requests and public records requests are in play here. That phone has state records on it and those can never be deleted without criminal repercussions.
