It happened a couple of months before he enrolled and Dan Mullen and Mississippi State both decided that he was good enough at football to accept that he beat the hell out of a woman and it was ok.

If it were LSU he was signed too I would expect the coach and president to kick him out immediately.
There’s certain things that are never ok, what he did was one of them.
