I don't know why people are so down on Taamu. Patterson wasn't cutting it last year. He could drive between the 20s and then nothing. He liked to throw interceptions and would rocket-arm a receiver 5 yards away. He was very volatile and would not check down on receivers but would tend to tuck and run as option 2. He was not successful at this. Taamu threw catchable balls and brought stability to the position. The team rallied around him. He was successful.

I'm not down on him. He's a serviceable SEC quarterback. He can make all the throws and he's athletic. There just wasn't a lot of film on him last year, and his biggest statistical games were against the nonconference cupcakes. Let's see how he does against the really good front 7s he will have to play this year.

You guys have a tendency to overhype your QBs.
