re: Regarding conference realignment and the playoff - what about this plan?

I didn't bother to read it because it doesn't matter what the system is, there will be controversy. No matter how we reshuffle the deck or how many teams we put in the playoff, the first couple of teams left out will raise hell. The truth is all of the controversy over the years and the debates they have sparked is one of the reasons it is the most popular sport in college. So even if we were able to fix it without controversy, the popularity of the sport would likely take a bit of a hit anyway. The thing that would take the biggest hit if we eliminate the controversy would be message boards like this.
