I think Mississippi State will have the better season in 2018.

I think Mullen will do just fine at Florida. On offense, they will be fine. If Dan Mullen and Florida want to take the next level, he will consistently have to recruit elite players on the OL/DL line. He couldn't do that at State. If he does that at Florida, he can win the SEC.

He had some good units on the line during his tenure at State with some outstanding players...but never the depth and level like Alabama and LSU during the Miles era.

2010-11 w/ KJ Wright, Pernell McPhee, Fletcher Cox
2014 - Good OL and Defense w/ Preston Smith and LB McKinnely
2017 - Good OL...actually controlled Bama DL during their game which Mullen had never done.

Mullen will have to consistently get studs like Jeffrey Simmons. If he does that at UF, he'll win the SEC.

As for Coach Joe Moorhead at State, I'm confident they'll be fine offensively and will actually recruit very well if assistant Charles Huff stays in Starkville.
After 2019, I'm not sure how the defense will be in the long run with State's new D-coach.

As long a Moorhead and Huff are together, I expect the offense and recruiting to do well.

You succeed in the SEC by winning in the trenches and having talent and depth on those units.

Hail State.
