This is an asinine statement, we have won National Championships there is no need to develop a program here. He’s in a top 3 state for talent, at a school that is willing to spend whatever it takes to get good again. He needs to win sooner rather than later, or he’s not the man for the job, SEC Championship by year 4, or he can find somewhere else to coach. Lowered expectations don’t help anyone.

Mullen hasn't coached a single game yet and all the gnashing of teeth or hoping we fail by rivals wont change that none of us really know what 2018 will bring...but I personally think a few folks will wish he were still at Moo State at years end, we will see.

The cupboard isn't bare at all and with 10 starters back on offense and 7 on defense (really 8 with CJ Henderson) we will have some sharp teeth....and its not all because of Mullen, but because of returning talent that will have better coaching. Coaching without talent isn't a recipe for success normally. Talent without coaching ditto.

Having a very good year will definitely help recruiting.
