Is this because too much capacity would be created or aesthetically?
,
I've been told several different things ... the talk really started in 2003. Biggest one at the time was cost and access. The spiral ramps would have to be completely taken down and, as I understand it they are load bearing so it would be an engineering nightmare and double the costs.

Aesthetics are another problem as Billy Brice has its personality.

Airflow is another. Bowling it in was supposed to raise the ambient temp in the stadium by some crazy amount ... like 15° or something. Wasn't just about air flow but body heat with increased capacity and all that. One of the problems with W-B in that regard is its position running north and south means the East side absorbs a lot of UV radiated heat for an extended period of time and is not shielded like other stadiums.

I've sat in East Club for almost three decades now and almost since I was first moved there they've talked about enclosing East Club and installing tinted glass and AC ... I do suspect that will happen eventually because it is badly needed but as to when, who knows.

Every once in awhile we get feelers about increased costs and license fees ... and that usually gets shot down in a hurry. We're already paying a lot.

FWIW the declination in our stadium is advantageous to the ball players because the first eight weeks of the season they don't have to deal with sun in their eyes fielding punts, KOs and long passes during day games ... the sun is to their left and right since all games began after 12Noon.

There's been some talk about actually lowering the field like they did at The Big House .... and that is a very feasible possibility and may happen one day to add seats without bowling-in the stadium.

Seating capacity is not a major concern right now although I know they'd like to take it over 87k ... they're more concerned with adding premium seating and more private boxes.

With the floyd l, i say once football ops is done, convert the top into a rooftop bar type, similar yo the chop house at SunTrust Park in atl.
