It's not a renovation on the stadium, but I always loved the proposal of lowering George Rogers Blvd and building an overpass from the fairgrounds.

Some of you might remember this rendering that some guy did a while back. Not endorsing the changes to the stadium, just the overpass.

I know it will never happen, but I think this would be clutch. Plus it creates another nice plaza area.

Actually, they're still thinking about the overpass just not the lowering of GR Blvd.

I think that might happen one day if they do not decide to go full blown coliseum entrance from the west side.

I do remember that dropping GR Blvd pie in the sky. It would never work ... too much infrastructure underground feom electricity to plumbing and now fiber optics. Not to mention the drainage issues and the traffic hazzard.

Wouldn't it just be easier to build (a) pedestrian bridge(s) up and over?

If you planned it correctly, it could intersect with the ramps, put in gates, and let people flow over the road in and out.

Edit: I didn't see Rooster's post before I typed this.
