Twitter poll is running right now LINK, after this State article, Minor change to Williams-Brice coming this year. 2019 could be different story

In 2019, after South Carolina’s football coaches move from the Floyd Football Building to the new $50 million football operations center, things could get interesting.
quote:
Tanner again: “As football moves over to the football operations center, we hope to convert some space for future amenities.”
quote:
“It would be premature to go on record about anything that may be done with the space that will become available once football transitions to its new facility,” a school spokesman wrote.
That leaves the ideas up to us, folks.
So, with that space available in two seasons, what could South Carolina add that would mean the most for Gamecocks fans?

Honestly, my issue with most sporting events these days is cost. You wanna keep the fan base rabid in the future find a way to get the most people in for the cheapest cost. You can say that people will watch at home but catering to luxury boxes or other things targeted to older alumni is a proposition that I think is misguided. Target the students and young alumni who may not be cash rich and build loyalty. They’ll spend the money down the line once they’re established in their careers. Without them, the future gets bleak.

Since most of us are peasants, it probably won't mean much to most Gamecock fans at all. It'll probably be something geared toward the richer fans.

I think the university's focus should be doing whatever is possible to buy up any and all available properties down Shop and Bluff Road for beautification. The Fairgrounds and Farmers Market have come so far, but there are still some real eyesores on the I-77 side of the stadium.

It's not a renovation on the stadium, but I always loved the proposal of lowering George Rogers Blvd and building an overpass from the fairgrounds.
Some of you might remember this rendering that some guy did a while back. Not endorsing the changes to the stadium, just the overpass.
I know it will never happen, but I think this would be clutch. Plus it creates another nice plaza area.
