No they didn't. Pruitt will be a failure. He's simply too stupid to lead a program.

He knows football. He has been successful at every stop. He knows the coaching industry. And that is important for a head coach to surround himself with exceptional people.

Pruitt knows talent. I have never seen a guy (Mullen included) who can identify 3 stars, coach up 3 stars, and bring them to almost an all conference level as consistently as Pruitt.

The challenges for Pruitt will be bringing in 5 stars. The challenges will be going against UGA and Bama every season and expecting success right away. The challenges will be dealing with Fulmer and the mess left behind in the wake of Butch.

Coming from a school who hired Dooley after the debacle he showed at UT and Dallas.....
