Nacoochee Grill has good food. It’s a stretch to call it the best food in Helen. It’s not as good as it was 5-10 years ago, and a lot of the other newer places in Helen have upped their game. 10 years ago, you could put Nacoochee Grill up there and have no fear of being wrong.
It is all about personal preference, after all...but tourist like Nacoochee more than the locals. Except the older crowd, anyway.

I haven't eaten there in 3 or 4 years...probably should have mentioned that.
But, I've never had a better meal within 1 mile of downtown Helen.
Edit: my parents live off Duncan Bridge road. But now that I have kids I don't go out when I visit them.
