I, and others, keep moving with the assumption it was two people. This easily could have been done with 1, right?

moving even a small older adult which is nothing but dead weight would require someone pretty strong to load them into and out of the boat unless possible a pontoon boat was used, but I still believe it was more than one person. I would figure one would have a lookout while doing this.

So, if there were at least two people that know what happened, there's rarely honor among thieves. One of them might have thought the other was a liability. Maybe afraid they were too reckless in their life, likely to get busted for some stupid shite and tip police on the murders to get immunity.

I would look around for other unsolved murders in the area in the year following, one of those victims might be one of our perps.
