2 of our last 3 head coaches are the last 2 former head coaches for Kentucky. It is only fitting that we get the last 3.
I am sure he is seeing this as an opportunity to get leverage from Kentucky tho

That’s is why he did not say it outright. Not good for him in negotiation for a pay raise if he said “I am staying”. But I agree, said “fell in love with Lexington back in 2005” during the interview.
