So let me get this straight. God, being God, knows all that is and will be, and so man commits the sin God already knows he’s going to commit, because God created everything and knows all that will be. And yet, knowing all of this and having the power to stop it from ever happening chooses not to do so. And it’s our fault. So answer this.

Why even fricking bother? The only reason I can think of he enjoys watching man twist in agony and self doubt.

I have put forward the theory that God sees us more as a Sims game. Sometimes he puts us in nice houses and keeps us neat and orderly. Sometimes he traps us in a room until we pee ourselves.

I'm guessing that dropping piss bombs onto houses from 3,000 feet will soon be on the list.

You questioning God and His motives is akin to an amoeba trying to understand a supercomputer. The finite cannot fathom the infinite.
His ways are not our ways.
His thoughts are not our thoughts. They are higher...infinitely so.
It's folly to try to understand that which is beyond understanding. We question what we don't understand, but to demean or ridicule It is ignorance.

God gave man the 2nd greatest thing a creator can give his creation- free will. Every bad thing comes from mans abuse and misuse of that gift.

It’s not Gods fault or will that man sins.

The greatest gift God has given man is the sacrifice Jesus made on Calvary to give man a second chance to be saved from the eternal consequences of his sin, brought on by mans misuse of his free will. God gives us an opportunity to reconcile our relationship with him, but it’s still up to us to accept that. He’s not going to force his salvation onto us.

The tragic thing is, most people would rather convince themselves that they are somehow justified in their sin by coming up with flawed and blind reasoning to excuse away God or convince themselves he doesn’t exist or is so aloof it doesn’t matter. Those are the folks whose last breath on this earth is the most tragic and regret-filled moment of their short existence, as they slip off to their eternal home in hell with an eternity to ponder how stupid and prideful they were to not accept Christ when they were alive and had the chance.

I think pretty much every person would MUCH rather believe in God than not believe in God. Who doesn't want to believe you get to live forever in a happy heaven type place and not fear death. I don't think anyone doesn't want to believe in that nice happy scenario.

The problem is not "blind reasoning to excuse away God" at all. It is more rationale thinking and objectively thinking about the Christain concept of God and having to much difficulty believing that the Christian God exists with no objectionable evidence and all of the numerous contradictions and things that make zero sense in the Bible and world in general looking through a biblical lense.

If read correctly and with just a small amount of reasoning instead of taking three words out of a verse and skewing it like a CNN reporter, the Word of God has not one single contradiction in it. And if you think it does, then I challenge you to read the Bible fully and then re-evaluate your assessment.

I PROMISE you, there are NO contradictions in the Bible, especially once you understand what’s going on between the old and new testaments. But don’t take my word for it. Go read the Bible cover to cover yourself, and stop using other peoples false arguments to keep you from making the correct call on the most important decision you’ll ever make. Gods word stands on its own. Go find out for yourself who God is.

Can you enlighten me as to what you believe I am?

2 things: God is probably bald, and Bethel boys aren't winning any track races.

quote:

3From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some boys came out of the town and jeered at him. “Get out of here, baldy!” they said. “Get out of here, baldy!” 24He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the boys. 25And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria.

One of those people that calls cnn fake news because they call out Trump for his staggering amount of daily falsehoods. I think he racked up over 2000 lies in his first 365 days in office. A stunning number considering he has not even held a press conference to take questions in over a year now.

I've decided people who buy into trumps false narratives and just say fake news are not worth talking to anymore.

The reference to his baldness was likely an ordinary sort of insult: baldness on the back of the head, historically, “was considered a blemish among the Israelites as well as among the Romans.”2 However, when we consider the rest of the taunt these “little children” hurled at the prophet, we see evidence that they possessed a certain amount of theological understanding. Their taunt to “go up” was a reference to Elijah’s recent ride to heaven. By shouting this challenge to Elisha, they were challenging his right to follow in Elijah’s footsteps as God’s designated representative to Israel—and declaring their intention that they wanted him to meet His Maker as well. Yet if the people were to be called back to God, Elisha had to have credibility as God’s designated representative. Some have found fault with Elisha for cursing them in the name of the Lord. First of all, this was not taking the Lord’s name in vain—notice that God responded by doing something about the situation—nor was this some vile epithet. Elisha simply made clear to them—and to all who were watching—that it was not his but God’s honor they were impugning. God ratified that position by sending two bears out of the woods to maul them. Did they die? The Strong’s number for tare is #1234 (baqa‘). This word variously refers to the breaking open of mountains and city walls, dividing the Red Sea, splitting wood, breaking bottles, making a way through a line of soldiers, getting a group of citizens to disavow their nation, and—in a prophetic metaphor for the destruction of a nation in Hosea 13:8—tearing by wild beasts. When we look at information on modern day bear attacks, we see that some attacks are fatal and some are not. The language of the Bible here is not specific regarding the fate of the 42. As Willmington’s Guide to the Bible puts it, “forty-two of these arrogant rebels were clawed as a divine punishment.”3 Maybe there were 42 funerals, maybe not. We simply cannot say. But one thing is sure: everyone watching and everyone who survived learned a lesson that day: God’s message is serious, and Elisha is His new messenger. The false gods popular in the nation publicly failed to protect these hoodlums from the God whose messenger they challenged. In summary, we have plenty of internally consistent biblical evidence that the events of that day in Bethel involved an unprovoked, verbal assault by a group of young hoodlums—perhaps because they were glad to be rid of one man telling them what God said they shouldn’t do and because they didn’t want another one. They were old enough to know better, and they were challenging the credibility of God’s prophet, the only man who was there to stand up for God’s truth, bringing the word of life to a corrupt nation that had turned its back on God.

Ah, it's ok, guys. All 42 of the boys may not have been killed.
