Vitamin D is produced by the body as a reaction to sunlight. Many people have deficiencies in the Winter because they're not outside enough. There's a type of depression associated with lack of vitamin D, SADD (Seasonal Affective Disorder Depression).

I take vitamins D and B12 as immune boosters. A healthy immune system can fight off viruses like influenza better than most. You're probably still exposed and take in the virus but it isn't in a dose that can overwhelm your immune system.

Does oral B12 really do good?

Doctors always seem to say it is the shots that actually work because the body processes it better.

You can't get it from the sun in winter unless you live in south florida. temp has to be at least in mid 80's.
