Speak for yourself, but I haven’t ever had to be carried out of a restaurant or up to my hotel room. Not when I was a student at A&M either, and certainly not after I graduated and got a real job.

I will say I’ve found this thread to be interesting and have enjoyed following it. I’ve seen some of the divorce stuff rumored on other boards and of course his rumored drinking issues have been around a long time, but outside of the statement a page earlier about him being carried out of the republic, I never see someone give a hard example or case like that. Sure we’ve all seen the grainy cell phone video that I have a hard time believing was shot anytime post 2005 since it’s so poor quality that the person claims is sumlin. Do flip phones really still exist?

I’ve said this before but if even half of our “insiders” on this board are telling the truth and truly connected, we blow any other A&M message board out of the water on insider percentages considering how small this community is and how many people claim to know something. And I’m not speculating on anyone that’s commented in this thread, just an observation from reading the board this past year as the sumlin saga spiraled out of control and we fired him.

Not that I'm taking sides with Roger (because he did claim Sumlin wasn't getting the full buyout, but all indications are that he will get it). But as a person who comes from a family full of alcoholics (both sides ) I've never had to get people to carry me off from a bar. Getting publicly wasted usually means you have a problem.

I wish Sumlin would get his personal shite together and try to fix his marriage (if true). But as far as coaching, I just don't see him being successful. We all saw what happened when Sherman's talent dried up and what went down when he lost Briles' QB in Houston in 2010.

I've never been physically carried out of anywhere, especially not as an adult.

The fact that it has happened to Sumlin on MULTIPLE occasions is alarming, and that's not discussing the fact that he's seen run of the mill drunk far more commonly.
