What nobody seems to have noticed and I may be wrong about the rules of football. He was out of bounds when his back leg swung around and hit the Alabama player who was out of bounds already. Am I correct? Everybody was looking at his foot and the out of bounds and not his other leg which clearly touched the outpf bounds a may player.

This is what I was thinking during the game but just assumed that’s not how it worked since no one else mentioned it lol

I guess it's if the ball is loose. I found this "A ball in player possession is out of bounds if the ball or the player touches anything that is out of bounds other than a game official or another player." from College Football Officiating, LLC.

You can touch a player or ref out of bounds as long as the rest of you is in bounds.
