While everybody's in the whining and gnashing of teeth mode I'll mention the worst and most damaging call of last night's game. Georgia's last TD was a gift. It should have been 1st down at the Bama 17 after Hardman stepped out of bounds. This game should never have gone to overtime. Bama actually won this game in regulation by a touchdown.

There’s no angle that shows him over the line. As close to the line as you can get, yes. Over, no.

Eh who cares. It ended up being a great game. In my mind, it would not have changed anything. It's not like we didn't get some things go our way too.

UGA fans aren't complaining about the refs, so LSU fans have to step in and do it for them. Complaining about the officiating after a Bama loss, it's what LSU fans are good at.

Actually, the worst was the offsides call when GA blocked the punt.

ETA: I don't have a dog in this fight. It was a damn good game.

So the game should've ended on a 1st down from the Bama 17 in the 3rd quarter?

It was absolutely a great game but the worst calls were not tossing #48 and the no-call on the push away of Fromm’s head after the tackle...neither were questionable. The BS pass interference on GA late and the numerous missed holding calls on Bama’s OL are a couple of others that come to mind but are common no calls. Again a great game.

"call stands" was probably correct.

It's basically impossible to see if he stepped out or not.

If they had called him out it would have been correct to keep it out as well.

Regardless, Georgia made their living tip toeing down the sidelines last night.

I have watched it a couple of times but one missed call nobody else has mentioned which looked like it should have been called from what I have seen was the horse collar tackle on Jacobs on the first drive. That was a very dangerous way to tackle someone in my opinion.

Bama's last td in regulation. WR takes 1 1/2 steps before the ball is snapped. Multiple personal foul no-calls also come to mind. Not getting Michel 25+ touches .

Fromm bouncing one off the helmet was biggest shift in the game. Giving Bama that field position at that moment gave them the time needed to pull it off.

And probably the most bailed out pass interference I've ever seen. That too, that had a lot to do with it.

Thought the no-call personal foul when Mack Wilson went at Fromms head after the sack was pretty crucial too.

Yes, because we would have had 1st and goal from Bama’s 17, that completely negates our 7 points

Look, we didn’t lose the game because of the refs. They didn’t help us, but we lost because we got out coached and outplayed. Sucks, but hopefully Kirby and our guys coming back learn from it.

There was no intent to step out of bounds. Therefore, TD.

You can't definitively tell he had stepped out of bounds. He probably did, but nothing shows without a doubt that he did.

That said, if it did show he stepped out of bounds, the ball would have been first down at the 16. It is impossible to say Georgia would definitely not have scored, so you can't say the game shouldn't have gone to OT.

Too many missed calls, and now I am ready to move on. I hope everybody else is, to.

Congratulations to Alabama on winning another title.
