And they were wrong. We were ready to sign him until Aranda's agent called our AD. We pivoted.

Except that he didn't. He was ready to take the A&M job until Aranda called and we put Elko on hold. When Aranda accepted 10 million guaranteed at LSU, it took Elko about 2 minutes to jump on board.
