So instead of hiring LSU's DC they hired the DC who beat LSU.

fitting.

If true he's damn good. Would be a solid hire.

This can't be right. I was told on this site that he'd already turned us down.

In all seriousness, though, this is a great hire!

And the speed of it backs up the claim that we were prepared to hire Elko right after the bowl win vs LSU, but Aranda called and inquired about the job.

Good on A&M for settling after their dream guy turned them down.

Straight garbage. He's no dave aranda that's for sure. A&m is where defensive coordinators go to die.

Why does neither article mention how much A&M paid?

Did we just help Aranda pimp LSU's checkbook, only to hire the guy Fisher wanted all along?

Great hire, definitely the best option after Aranda. Only 40 too.
