What did they adjust for the second time that worked so well?

AU UGA games were lost by the team that played bad. Poor execution, etc

UGA did a great job running the edge in game 2. They also put faith in Fromm and let him play whereas in game 1 they were afraid to lose. See end of first half.

Beating UGA is difficult because I think Fromm is better than UGA OC does. They have a great offense and are very diverse.

So I guess as with all games: 1. Win Turnover battle- they don’t need help 2. Try to stop the run: easier said than done. They have so many quality backs; all the way down to Holyfield. 3. Hurts will have to see the blitz and throw at it (AU hit a tunnel for a TD right at a blitz). I don’t think UGA will blitz him. 4. Run the ball. Bama also is deep with good backs. 5. Find a WR to complement Ridley. Also hurts has to put the ball up for Ridley to make a play. 6. Saban knows everything about that defense so Daboll needs to listen to how to exploit it. 7. UGA is penalized a good bit in most games. Make them pay for the 15 yard penalty.

UGA blitzed several times in that first AU game and we got burned for 3 TDs on screens.

I think we blitzed less in the 2nd match-up.

Against OU, we blitzed on 3rd down and Mayfield made us pay on a couple of 3rd and longs.
The 2nd half adjustment was blitzing on earlier downs (the screen wasn't called to counter us and we got Mayfield to move his feet in the pocket and to be less accurate in the 2nd half).
