The majority of translations refer to it as a "circle". The Hebrew word used is "khoog" which literally translates to circle. Genesis says the Earth is covered by a firmament, aka a dome. Now if there are other places which imply it is spherical.
All of this to say it's what we would expect from an uninspired book written by different men in different areas over the span of a thousand years. Inconsistency.

Still stuck on that I see. The majority of Bibles say it is a circle, but I know that ruins the wonderment for you.
