I keep seeing this by I don't see any SEC schools out there scheduling the Service Academy's, and I really wish they would I would love to see it happen.

Probably because it's an injury waiting to happen.

If the point is about playing that style of team...

Current Navy HC: Ken Niumatalolo

Coaching Tree: Paul Johnson...

Niumatalolo followed Johnson from Hawaii to Navy and became the heir apparent when he left to take his god forsaken HS offense to Atlanta and join the Nerds.

Georgia plays Tech every year... I seem to recall Tennessee fans crying up a storm and apologizing for any negative remarks that they'd made in the past after seeing how much fun that was this season.

If it's about playing service academy schools, it's the same problem as signing up to play any higher quality Mid Major G5 school... it is viewed as a no-value win if you win, and it's a colossal shitstain if you lose... see: Boise or Utah in years past... The dumb part is, an SEC school would be given more credit for scheduling Maryland or Purdue than they would for playing a school like UCF this year or one of the Service Academies... even though the latter would probably be a more viable opponent.

Notre Dame plays them since they don't have the same conference affiliation requirements that most schools do.
