I'm saying you guys have outrecruited your opposition for the better part of the past decade (outside of Florida, I s'pose), that you have to actually develop those players. Muschamp had some dynamite classes, he even beat some good teams his second year around -- but turning recruits into soldiers is no easy thing.

I have yet to see Kirby battle-tested outside of ND and Auburn, one he won by the skin of his teeth, the other he got the dog crap kicked out of him.

That #8th ranked class in 2014.
That #6th ranked class in 2015.
That #6th ranked class in 2016.
That #3rd ranked class in 2017!

Those didn't help you against Auburn, who is ranked worse in every year, ND is even worse! You guys have an outstanding class this year and even last year, but the problem is the step from #8 to 1 - 3 isn't that sharp.
