Is there a journalist in Arkansas.....

....with the integrity, the curiosity and the chutzpah to write the story of our AD and coaching searches? It's been two years since I moved out of state, but has anything changed with Arkansas journalism?
Don't you think it's a story that should be chronicled and told? We were in unchartered waters this time for a number of reasons. Much of the coaching search (we think) was conducted with either a lame duck AD or no AD. It's anyone's guess as to who was making calls and decisions. It (Possibly. To some degree.) included a home grown, very divisive coach.
Some questions: Were there factions like we heard about among the boosters? Who was who? What factions were making the case for which AD and coach candidates? Who in each faction was calling the shots? Who were the knuckleheads, gumming up the works? Was Gus ever a REAL candidate? Did HE reach out after the LSU game? Was he still really considering the move after the Iron Bowl? How involved was Steimmetz? Peoples? Yuracheck, once he came aboard? The list of questions is endless!
Living in Alabama, I watch the Saban and Malzahn press conferences and read the opinion pieces. Even with all the success those coaches have had, the Alabama press still holds them accountable. They ask tough questions, openly question and criticize their decisions and generally keep a level of pressure on them at all times. Not like the NY press, but it's fairly intense. It is so refreshing. I can't imagine either school undergoing searches like we did without multiple reporters fighting and clawing to turn over every rock to get the story.
Some might say we really don't want to know, but I do. People will talk if given anonymity, from a journalist with the integrity to credibly promise to protect it.
There were so many moving parts to these searches. The truth might embarrass and/or shame some very powerful people. But enquiring minds want to know. Is there ANYONE with the guts to do it?

None of our journalists knew of a corruption and kickback scam in Springdale with a fake Bible college that ended with Rep Micah Neal and Senator Jon Woods going to federal prison until the court made public announcements
They're worthless at everything, not just sports

Why would a quality investigative journalist still be in Arkansas and on the Sports Beat?

The U of A is squeezing out all journalists by doing in-house media. They break all their own stories. They're on the plane interviewing Morris while everyone else is waiting at Drake for the plane to land just to get one shot of Morris.

Arkansas journalism is too busy with printing Democrats talking points
