Just looked and Texas claims 1981?
I could have sworn that was won by Clemson.
Then it appears as if Texas claims 1977? I'm pretty sure Notre Dame beat you in the Cotton Bowl that year.
In 1968 #1 Ohio State beat #2USCw, yet I see Texas lists that as a Title, too.
Shall we go through more of your titles and pull them apart?
Texas still finishes a very poor distance from Alabama when it comes to Titles.

Well you know that will change when UTexas hires Coach Saban. I hear his wife was in Austin picking out houses, and they are going to pay him over 10 million a year. It is a guarantee that he is going to Texas.....the Texas boosters say so......

16 national titles? So you count the 6 Alabama miraculously won in the summer of 1987? Ok then.
Other conferences were not chicken s*** because they couldn’t go to bowls every year. Just the rule for the conferences. You should use your language and terminology better.
Also, Oklahoma was #1 in the AP for three straight weeks before ending their 1974 season, so Alabama winning or losing their bowl was irrelevant.
You base your opinions based on what you want to say to make you feel better. Move on chap.

Sadly for you, if Alabama had won their bowl game in 1974, Alabama would have won the NC. Why? Because Alabama would have been undefeated, and won their bowl game, something OU could not say. Not my opinion, just fact....
edit to add- From 11/18/74 to 11/25/74 Alabama was gaining ground on OU, and was only 86 points behind, from 120...win the bowl, and Alabama is AP champ.
16 National Titles includes the 11 Alabama has won since 1950 in the polls, BCS and playoffs, and the 5 Alabama won by playing and winning in the bowls before WW2..... you know like the Rose Bowl in 25, 26, and 30...... Not my opinion, just fact
I am sorry if your conference would not allow you to go bowling. Oklahoma, if they wanted to, could have had the rule changed, but they chickened out. I am sorry if that hurts your feelings, but it is the truth. Again, not my opinion just fact.
My language and terminology are fine as they fit. I am not using opinions, just facts...... perhaps you need to look closer at reality.....

Mayfield will have Heisman hangover. That's what I've noticed the most about some in the past. If a player wins the Heisman - they tend to crumble in their bowl game. Not all of them...but some do.
He's pretty full of himself and I see UGA putting the hurt on them.
