Nope. If that is the price you must pay to put "an entertaining product on the field," then football needs to go.

Longer I go, the more I think Sewanee and the University of Chicago had this sport pegged. Enough is enough.

If we happened to lose students because we no longer have football, then we lose students. Somehow thinking the engineering and science departments won't lose any though.

I tend to agree with you. Athletics and academics make strange bedfellows.

Isn't it interesting, though, that Briles was run out after taking Baylor to the top of the Big 12.
Same thing with Freeze and Ole Miss.

Just coincidence I'm sure.

This would have been just as big a deal if those two programs were still slumbering at the bottom of their respective conferences....sure it would.
